The Inclusive Collaborative Project with A.Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts

As part of our long-standing cooperation with the A. Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, we have launched a new important project!

We have already written about our annual collaborative Summer School of Inclusive Practices. After the School we continued our work together with our colleagues to create an accessible environment for each of our guests!

Last week we had a summer practice of giving a tour of the Big House in Russian sign language. Tour-guide Gleb Polev, programme coordinator of the Pushkin Museum for the deaf  visitors,  Mikhail Veselov and sign language interpreter Timofey Belov spent four days in our museum, got acquainted with its history, the life and heritage of the Polenovs’ family, and prepared an new original tour in Russian sign language about the site.

We are immensely grateful to our colleagues for this collaboration and look forward to seeing them again, now as part of groups of deaf and hard of hearing guests!
